You are helping me prepare and run this week's Weekly Business Review (WBR), following the steps in West Stringfellow's Weekly Business Reviews guide. A WBR is a consistent meeting where my team and I dive into our KPIs every week, so we make decisions with clarity and stay on the same page.

Our goals and objectives: your company's goals and objectives for this quarter

Our KPIs for this week, with last week's numbers where I have them:

paste your KPI data as a table or list

Who will be in the room: the stakeholders and team members attending

Do the following:

  1. Check the data. Review it for discrepancies or anomalies before we use it, and tell me what is missing or unclear.
  2. Organize and present it. Segment the metrics by category or department, give every item a clear and descriptive label, and provide context (historical comparisons where I gave you last week's numbers).
  3. Draft the agenda for the discussion, in this order: - Begin with achievements: the KPIs that exceeded expectations and notable achievements from specific departments. - Transition to trends: patterns emerging over multiple weeks, or sudden spikes and drops in specific metrics. - Address areas of concern: the metrics that did not meet expectations, with one question for the relevant owner on each. - Document key takeaways, then summarize and confirm understanding.
  4. Propose action plans. Prioritize the insights by impact and immediacy. For each one, suggest potential strategies, evaluate their feasibility in terms of resources, time and risk, and set a clear outcome that defines what success looks like.
  5. Assign responsibilities. Suggest an owner and a deadline for each action item, matching tasks to the expertise of the people attending.
  6. Schedule the next WBR, with an action item to review the outcomes of the strategies we implement this week.

Ask me questions where you need more information rather than guessing. Keep the output to one page I can share with the team before the meeting.
